See you on May 4th!
Language, in its many different types and means of expression, is the focus of the 40th annual Foreign Language and International Studies Day, which will take place on May 4 at UO.
This annual event showcases the talent and dedication of the university's faculty and students working in languages, area studies, cultural studies, and the arts. It features more than 80 presentations: from mini language lessons in Arabic, Italian, Portuguese and other languages to the booming drums of Habib Idrisu's African Dance and Drumming Ensemble to the elegance of Chinese Calligraphy to the comic surprises of Let Them Eat Cake, where language ability allows you to win, well, cake.
Ambassador Eric Benjaminson, director of several UO initiatives in Africa, is our keynote speaker at 8:30 in the EMU Ball Room. We look forward to seeing you here!
