Critical Language Scholarships
Recent UO grad Sienna Stevenson came to the university with a rich language background. She grew up speaking Italian at home, studied French in school and got to live in Turkey for a couple of years. At the UO she focused on the Middle East taking Arabic language and culture classes all four years here, including an "amazing summer term abroad in Rabat, Morocco in 2014" on a CLS Scholarship where she studied both Modern Standard Arabic and Moroccan dialect.
For Sienna, language learning is just part of her life. Like other Duck CLS scholarship winners, she joins a long tradition of students whose lives were changed for the better by a wonderful language and cultural opportunity. Consider adding your name to the list.
Contact Jeff Magoto, UO CLS Advisor, for more information about the scholarship.
