using Voiceboard—Instructors
1.Getting Started:
Like all of Blackboard’s communication tools Voiceboard is administered from the control panel. Select Voiceboard Administration.
2.Topic Menu:
This is where you can add, rename, or delete topics; students will post their messages in a specific topic (3 are set-up by default). You may, for example, want to give each student his/her own topic area. Only instructors can create new topics.
3.Edit Messages:
In order to edit posted messages, click the button called “Edit Messages”.
4.Message Editor:
From here you can listen to individual postings, and if you choose, write feedback or delete the message altogether. The word processing tools let you use a variety of font colors and styles; there’s also an html linking tool if you want to refer the writer to a specific website. Please note that if you delete the message, it can not be retrieved.
5.Checking your Work:
To return to the Edit Message menu, click the “x” in the right corner. To see what a student sees, use the communication tools menu on the BB main menu to open the Voiceboard application.
