Voiceboard for blackboard—Instructors
Voiceboard for blackboard—Instructors
Voiceboard is the Yamada Language Center’s latest speech tool for asynchronous web-based communication. Designed as both a standalone application and as a plug-in for the Blackboard course management system (pictured), Voiceboard adds multimedia to discussions, audio journals and other academic communication.
In addition to text, instructors and students can conference via audio and/or video. Voiceboard is easy to set up and administer—in fact, it’s already set up and ready to go inside your course. Click on the Instructions link to learn more about how the program works.
Voiceboard is currently in use in a variety of courses, foreign language and others, at the University of Oregon. Contact YLC for more information or training.
A Speech-Based Tool for Blackboard Discussions
Like other BB communication tools, Voiceboard lets you easily set up web-based conversations, but here contributions can be spoken as well as written. These pages are for instructors; student instructions can be found here.
