Before you can use Skype to make and receive calls or messages, you need to create and set up your own account with Skype.

1. Go to the Skype website.
2. At the top right corner of the page, click the  button.
3. Enter the information into the fields (required fields have a * next to them - you can leave the other fields blank).
4. Read the Privacy Statement and Terms of Use. If you agree, click the green 'I agree - Continue' button at the bottom of the form to create your account.
5. After you complete the form, Skype will send a confirmation email to the email address that you provided. You must click on the link in this email to activate your account.
6. Log in to your account with the username and password that you chose.
