FLIS Day

UO's 37th Annual Foreign Language and International Studies Day

May 1, 2015

FLIS Day is Oregon's largest foreign language and culture event. FLIS presenters are faculty and students from more than 40 different countries, and represent UO's 15 foreign language, linguistics, and international studies programs and departments.

UO's director of Study Abroad and professor of International Studies, Stephen Wooten will be our keynote speaker.

We're also pleased to have cultural presentations from international students in the UO's ICSP. And, as always, we have special guest performers, like Seffarine, Parfait Bassale and UO's own Dance Africa and the Wushu Team.

High School Students
 — you will have many chances throughout the day to use your language skills as well as acquire new ones. This year's offerings are exceptionally rich in diversity and type—from workshops to cooking to social justice issues. Talk to your teachers about your school's participation.
