Welcome to the Yamada Language Center!

The UN has named 2008 the International Year of Languages in an effort to address issues of linguistic diversity, respect for all languages, and multilingualism.

YLC is trying to embrace the spirit of that proclamation by participating in a slate of events and programs this Spring term.

On Saturday May 10, YLC will join many other language centers around the world in hosting a public Pangea Day screening. This event, a celebration of independent filmmaking from around the world, will span the day and the globe. Festivities at YLC will run from 12-4 pm in Pacific 122.

And on May 15 YLC will host a lecture by Professor Massimo Lollini on the Oregon Petrarch Open Book.
