Language Exchange

What is Language Exchange?

The Yamada Foreign Language Exchange database is set up to allow students to contact each other, to mentor, to learn, and to practice languages. The Language Exchange is where someone wanting to learn a language can find help by offering help in exchange from a language they already know. For example, if you know English and want help with Arabic, you could find a partner who knows Arabic but wants help with English.

Who can use it?

The Language Exchange is for to University of Oregon students. It is required to create a profile before using the Exchange.

Can I find a tutor through the Language Exchange?

The Language Exchange is not a tutoring program – it is designed as an equal exchange between two languages. The Yamada Language Center does not provide private tutoring.
