I am pleased to welcome you to Global Talk, a unique and significant project within the University of Oregon and the University system in general.
Global Talk is the first multilingual publication journal produced at the University of Oregon and in the state of Oregon. Founded and printed since November 2005, Global Talk features languages taught by departments and by self-study groups at the U of O.
We currently feature 11 sections: Chinese, French, Swahili, German, Italian, Middle Eastern, Japanese, Slavic, Portuguese, Scandinavian, Farsi and Spanish.
Whether you are a layman in foreign languages, a beginning or advanced language student, or perhaps a language professor or native speaker of any of those languages and cultures here presented, I hope you will enjoy navigate through Global Talk and learn more about our complex and yet fascinating world.
