On May 5, 2017, the UO will be hosting 1,200 high school students as part of Foreign Language and International Studies Day (FLIS Day). And we need your help! Come have fun celebrating the study of language, art, and culture. Please join us in making our guests from all over the state feel welcome.

Duties include: assisting with presentations, minor tech support, and providing general information and directions. It might sound like a lot, but it’s actually not hard! In exchange, you get a fancy T-shirt, the chance to sit-in on interesting presentations, and the opportunity to promote language education at the UO.

  • A meeting will be held the week of FLIS Day (May 1 - May 5) for Volunteer training.
  • Volunteers work in two-hour time blocks.
  • Please make sure you have two consecutive hours free between 7:30am and 4:00 pm to volunteer.
Thanks for your interest in FLIS Day! Unfortunately, we have all the volunteers we need for this year and have closed sign-ups. Be on the look out for FLIS Day 2018 though!
