UO's 35th Annual Foreign Language and International Studies Day -  April 26th, 2013

The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with a welcome address from Amalia Gladhart, Professor of Spanish and the Head of Romance Languages. Professor Gladhart is a longtime FLIS supporter and teaches courses on Latin American theater and literary translation at UO.

Our main program for the day begin at 9:15. There are more than 100 presentations this year, with 15+ choices every hour. The last sessions of the day begin at 2:15 and end at 3:00.

As usual, FLIS represents the best of UO's commitment to international education. Presenters come from many parts of the university, bringing their expertise in language, culture, area studies, and the arts.

Check out the presentation page as we add times, locations, and descriptions. The full program will be available in early April.

Students have the chance to experience language and culture in many different ways, including mini-language lessons, workshops on food, song, and crafts, and, of course, the ever-popular theater and dance events.
