Pain and Beauty in the Art of Frida KahloThis presentation will emphasize Frida's bout with polio at the age of 6 and the accident she was in between a bus and a trolley car when she was 18 causing massive injuries to her collarbone, spine, pelvis and right leg. It was after this accident that she dedicated her life to painting. Besides many paintings, Frida will also be presented from photographs by great Mexican photographers like Lol Alvarez Bravo. Music and History of PeruA musical narration of the millenary history of Peru. We will start with ancient legends from the Inca Empire accompanied with music of the time that will tell us the story. We will also explore different sounds and rhythms from different regions of Peru as well as its history.
