Argentina's Geographic DiversityIn this student-centered presentation, we will explore many of the physical features which make Argentina a prime target for the outdoor enthusiast or curious traveler. A tour of my experiences as a study abroad student (AFS) will help guide us from the northern tropical rainforests of Misiones, to the cosmopolitan cultural center of Buenos Aires, with our final destination, after sampling yerba mate, located upon the frozen steppe of southern Patagonia. As we travel through the country, another points of emphasis will be food, dance, and frontier cultures. Location: EMU Oak Room

Wushu - Chinese Martial ArtsWushu in Chinese literally means "martial art." Charactarized by it's highly acrobatic movements, wushu is practiced by Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Contemporary wushu is seen in many of today's action films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The Forbidden Kingdom. We will perform and then teach some basic movements.
