The Bakony Professional Development Grant is for UO faculty and GTFs who present on Foreign Language and International Studies Day.

Besides rewarding your participation in FLIS, this grant is designed to encourage innovation in language teaching and learning.

Applicants can use these funds for their research, curricular or materials projects or travel to professional conferences. It's a one-page application: simple to fill out and the funds are available immediately.

Last year's three winners used their grants to set up language exchanges in Japan, start language programs in Romanian and Hindi/Urdu.
