Accessing Voiceboards

1) Log in to https://blackboard.uoregon.edu [link opens in new window]

2) Click on Courses from tab located at top of the page and select course:

3) Click on Tools located on left of the page.
 
4) Scroll down the page and click on Voiceboards:

Using Voiceboards

1) Choose a Topic from the menu (topic name may differ for each class):

2) Click on Add a Message:

3) If you see the popup below, make sure to click Allow for Camera and Microphone Access

4) Make sure to write something in both required fields: Message Title and Message Comment.

Recording and Submission

1) Choose the type of recording (Audio only or Audio & Video)

2) Click on Record to begin recording and click Stop once you are done recording. It records 5 minutes maximum.

3) You can now replay your recording, re-record, or add more to you recording.

Note: Before you replay or add the recording, wait at least 15 seconds so that your recording is fully recorded. If the recording did not work, refresh the browser and start over.

4) To submit your recording, click Add it!:

Note: If you are not happy with your recording and want to start over, click on Forget it!

Important: Once submitted, you will no longer be bale to edit or delete your recording. Only the instructor can then delete your recording.

Note: It is a good idea to make a test recording before you begin to make sure the microphone is working. That way, if it is not working, you do not need to repeat your entire recording. If it is not working, see Troubleshooting below and keep testing until you get a good recording.

Troubleshooting: 

• Is headset plugged in? (look to see if the cord is plugged into a USB port)
• Is headset muted? (look to see if red light on cord switch is off)
• Is headset chosen? (look under SoundSource icon () on top toolbar)
