1) Open QuickTime Player from dock

2) Go up to toolbar and click on New Screen Recording

3) Click on Recording Button to start recording.  Once you are done, click on Stop button

Note: You can click to record fullscreen and drag window to record only the selected part

4) Your file will automatically be saved under Finder >> Movies
