Russian
[font sample]

  • Download Russian (81 k) For Macintosh
Shaddock Book Hollow
[font sample]
This font is destined to users who wish to have a nice "traditional" cyrillic font, usable with any keyboard. As it is mapped using the closest phonetic approximate between Russian and Roman characters, it makes it easy to type with, even if one has no knowledge of the Russian keyboard layout. It contains many unusual cyrillic characters, which are seldom seen since the last reform, and where usual prior the revolution. They may not interest business letters, but be very valuable for academic Russian.
Stargorod
[font sample]
It is simple and elegant, based on text fonts used at the beginning of the century. Perhaps a bit too artsy for present day purposes - but it is free. Not public domain though: copyright retained by the author.
Strogij
[font sample]
Strogij is a PostScript (with several bitmaps) cyrillic font mapped in CYRILSCII encoding standard. It has a full set of characters of English and Ukrainian/Russian/Bilorussian/Bulgarian alphabets. Keyboard mapping is a standard Russian/Ukrainian version.
  • Download Strogij (45 k) For Macintosh
VP-Russian

This is a package that facilitates the use of a Macintosh as a terminal to a mainframe and allows the use of KOI-8 encoded russian text. Includes a bitmap font (with regular and reverse video in plain and bold). Instructions tell of use with VersaTerm Pro, but will likely work with other communication software.
