Portuguese Language Resources

  • YLC Portuguese Message Board

  • Yamada Language Center Holdings
    Scola: News from Brazil is recorded daily, and from Portugal on the weekends. Both are available on the VLL. Other materials, including a small number of movies, are available for checkout.
  • De Tudo um Pouco
    Online Portuguese beginner's course at the University of Glasgow. Providing the differences between Brazilian Portuguese and Portuguese Portuguese, this site offers wonderful lessons in Portuguese ranging from beginner to advanced, useful pronunciation pages and several links on Portuguese speaking countries.

Study Abroad

Three UO-sponsored programs through SIT in Belem, Fortaleza & Salvador (Brazil). Offer intensive language study: Portuguese, and a variety of experiences in areas such as natural resources management, social justice and public health.
