UO's 32nd Annual Foreign Language and International Studies Day - April 30th, 2010

Foreign Language and International Studies Day is Oregon's largest event devoted to language and culture study!

The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with a keynote address in the E.M.U. Ballroom.

Regular sessions begin promptly at 9:15 and end at 3:00. There will be more than 20 different presentations per hour.

As usual, FLIS represents the best of UO's commitment to international education. Presenters come from many parts of the university, bringing their expertise in language, culture, area studies, and the arts. Check out the presentation page as we add times, locations, and descriptions.

Students have many chances throughout the day to use their foreign language skills as well as acquire new ones. This year we have more than 110 sessions scheduled, encompassing dozens of languages and cultures.

For Teachers:
Registration forms for schools wishing to attend are available online (early deadline is April 2nd). Professional development can also be part of your day—several sessions on technology and language teaching are "for teachers" only.
