Arnaud: Hello, Anne-Cecile.
Anne-Cecile: Hi, Arnaud.
Arnaud: How are you?
Anne-Cecile: Fine and you?
Arnaud: Very good. Look! I've got some photos of the mountains! I'll show them to you.
Anne-Cecile: Where did you go in the mountains?
Arnaud: We went to Briançon, the highest village in France.
Anne-Cecile: And what did you do there?
Arnaud: We climbed some summits. Look, this is a summit on the top of the crest. You can see the sun lighting the peaks, very beautiful.
Anne-Cecile: Yes, indeed. You can see the reflection of the sun.
Arnaud: Here, this is a pretty view of a mountain's summit. You can see Italy in the background.
Anne-Cecile: Oh, you were at the Italian border?
Arnaud: Yes, a beautiful border.
Anne-Cecile: You were neither in France nor in Italy!
Arnaud: Exactly.
Anne-Cecile: And did you go to Italy?
Arnaud: We didn't go to Italy. Look, a picture of the family on the summit. You can see my friend Jerome who went along for the occasion.
Anne-Cecile: Look at the eternal snow.
Arnaud: Yes, it is snow at a high altitude. It's very pretty. There is my sister Sophie looking stupid!
Anne-Cecile: Oh, this person looks very tired from the climb.
Arnaud: Yes, it's my dad, he does look very tired. Indeed, the mountain is about 3,100 meters high.
Anne-Cecile: 3,100 meters?
Arnaud: Oh, yes! We were very exhausted at the top.
Anne-Cecile: And did you lack oxygen?
Arnaud: No, we had some bottles. Finally, a picture of all the family. Very tired after a high mountain of 3,200 meters.
Anne-Cecile: Yes, indeed. Apparently, vacations in the mountains are exhausting.
Arnaud: Yes, very tiring, moreso than a vacation at the sea, much more.
Anne-Cecile: And why is that?
Arnaud: Because in the mountains, we climb!
Anne-Cecile: And you climb down, no?
Arnaud: Yes, we climb down but the descent is very tiring, too.
Anne-Cecile: And did you do any several day races?
Arnaud: No, unfortunately. But we did some 3000 meter races…
Anne-Cecile: In one day?
Arnaud: Yes, in one day. We walk very fast in our family!
