Mrs. Avignon: Oh Melina! How are you?
Mrs. Monet: How are you?
Mrs. Avignon: Come in.
Mrs. Monet: So, how are you doing?
Mrs. Avignon: Fine and you?
Mrs. Monet: Okay, thanks.
Mrs. Avignon: So what've you been doing today?
Mrs. Monet: Well, you know, nothing special. I've been cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking. We had potatoes, plain potatoes, because it's been a while since Sabrina has had them.
Mrs. Avignon: Everybody came back home for lunch today.
Mrs. Monet: For lunch?
Mrs. Avignon: Yes, yes.
Mrs. Monet: So Michel comes back for lunch now.
Mrs. Avignon: Normally he wouldn't but this time everybody did, even Sebastien.
Mrs. Monet: Oh, okay.
Mrs. Avignon: Because Jerome just got his motorcycle license this morning, so he gave his brother a ride.
Mrs. Monet: Oh, he must have been happy.
Mrs. Avignon: Yes, he was. A teaspoon.
Mrs. Monet: Thanks.
Avignon: Do you take sugar?
Mrs. Monet: No, I'll have
Mrs. Avignon: Artificial sugar.
Mrs. Monet: Thanks. What about you, will you have some?
Mrs. Avignon: Well, yes. I hope it's hot. Good, it's hot.
Mrs. Monet: Thanks.
Mrs. Avignon: How is Arnaud doing?
Mrs. Monet: He's still doing an internship in Nīmes. He'll be done by the end of the week.
Mrs. Avignon: Oh, yes? Did your children come visit last weekend?
Mrs. Monet: Yes, Sylvie came. She's been coming several weeks in a row, now. And Arnaud's internship finishes at the end of the week. He's happy about that because he actually does alot of driving back and forth.
Mrs. Avignon: Oh, yeah? So he didn't stay there a long time.
Mrs. Monet: Well, three weeks.
Avignon: That much?
Mrs. Monet Yes, three weeks but all the driving. It's true that in the morning he has to get up earlier but when he comes back home, everything is done. I understand that
but, tell me, how do they manage in Paris?
Mrs. Avignon: Yes.
